Customers quickly realize that Advantage Plus is unlike any other agricultural advisory service available today. Upon an initial interview with the producer, Advantage Plus professionals customize a risk management program designed specifically for the producer's independent operation. The interview consists of several detailed questions including the risk tolerance of the producer as well as cash flow requirements.
There are three primary components of the Advantage Plus program:
Perhaps the most distinct aspect of the Advantage Plus program is that DC Futures becomes directly involved in the producer's cash grain sales. With an extensive network of merchandisers, Imperial leverages the bushels it manages by providing producers with bids that are usually better than they could achieve themselves. Whether it is a spot sale, forward contract, basis contract, or HTA, DC Futures helps manage the actual bushels produced. DC Future's Advantage Plus program works in conjunction with governmental and insurance programs for an all-inclusive marketing plan.
Advantage Plus customers receive:
Advantage Program
For clients that are more experienced or just more interested in an active role, we offer a full service account. This is a non-fee based program in which the client visits with a Imperial risk management consultant throughout the year to analyze the current market outlook. The actively managed programs are not available under this account. During discussions topics will be brought up including basis and current pricing, then recommendations are made with the reasoning behind them and the client is left with the discretion to act on the advice.
The full service account is aimed at the producer who wants a more active role in their marketing, yet wants some sound advice from a reputable source.

Basic Program
For clients not willing to partake in the futures and options market, we offer a program that consists of cash grain sales only.
The cash only program lacks the versatility of the other programs due to its restrictions. Producers in the cash only program use forward, hedge-to-arrive, and basis contracting to try to increase their net sales price. Due to the nature of these contracts they offer no reversibility in ever changing market conditions.
The cash only program is a good alternative to doing nothing; however, is suggested against for producer except those who are completely against using the futures market.
